I know, I've disappeared again. Sorry...We just got back from vacation and I've been trying--still--to get the homeschooling stuff organized for the new school year. But, I have a card to share!
If you haven't tried your hand at the 10 Minute Craft Dash challenge over at the Pretty Pink Posh site, it's a must! It's so stressful for those 10 minutes but, if you're successful, you've done a card in 10 minutes! :) Also, the Simon Says Stamp! Monday challenge had us using a "cut" piece on our card. It could be a die cut or a punched piece--but it had to be cut. If you want to make a card in 10 minutes, a cut piece is very helpful! Here's my card and the challenge badge:
10 minutes is NOT a lot of time...So, I decided to do some embossing and die cut some flowers. I used the D'vine Swirls embossing folder with the Tim Holtz embossing diffusers. This allows you to choose what area of the card you want embossed. I'm still not thrilled with how the middle section came out but with only 10 minutes, I let it go. I did try to add a scored line around the oval but again, it didn't work as well as I'd hoped. For the flower, I used a Simon Says Stamp! die (Meadow Rue) and used a glue pen to adhere it. The sentiment stamp is from the "Happy" set from Simon Says Stamp! and finished it off with some gems.
