Watercolor fun

Happy Sunday everyone!

I'm stopping in to post a card that I just had so much fun creating last night! I've been wanting the stamp for a VERY long time so I was thrilled when I finally purchased it (at 50% off, too!). I'll be entering this card into an amazing giveaway over at the Clips n Cuts website. I'm a big fan of Vicky's work and she's got a great giveaway right now for trying out the inlinkz tool--the tool that lets you link the products you used on your card so that readers can purchase it online. I always wanted to try it out and figured it was the perfect time to do so! Also, the Word Art Wednesday site has their traditional "anything goes" challenge so I'll be adding my card there, too. Here's the card:

This was a super fun card to make! I used Versafine ink to stamp the image (Penny Black's Tom and Tilly) and then used my Derwent Inktense watercolor pencils to color it in. However, there were some colors that I thought would work well with distress markers and distress inks so I added those to some portions, too. The bench, for example, has the Willow color from the inktense pencils but it also has vintage photo distress marker. The same for the shoes--I got a really weird color brown from the inktense pencils so I added the vintage photo color there, too. The skirt also has a mixture of Deep Indigo (watercolor pencil) and broken china distress ink. I used my distress marker to color in the sky and used the dried marigold color for the skin tones. Super fun to make! The sentiment is from Inkadinkadoo and I'm not sure it's still available. Below, though, you'll find the vast majority of the products I used. (And, by the way, the inlinkz tool really is quite simple to use and a great way to list your products!)

Thanks for stopping by and make sure to check out both websites for a chance to win some cool stuff!
