Wish You were Here

Hi all!

I have a new card to share today. I'll be entering it in both the Simon Says Monday (use a stamp or stencil on a project) and Wednesday challenges (anything goes), as well as, in the Word Art Wednesday site (also an anything goes challenge). Here's my card:

One of my local craft stores that carries Lawn Fawn products was having a big sale this past week. I jumped at the chance to get the Wish You Were Here set. I LOVE this set! I stamped the USA image in black and heat embossed it on watercolor paper. Then, using my inktense watercolor pencils I added color to each state. This is much easier when it's heat embossed because the embossing helps you stay within the lines. Once the coloring was done, I fussy cut the image, stamped the "x" on the state of Washington and then adhered it with dimensional tape. Then I added the sentiment and the card was done.

This was a super fun card to make! Although the coloring took some time, it's so relaxing. And once the coloring is done, the rest of the card is really quick.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!
Pat
