Christmas in September!

Hi all!

Yes, I've been absent for a very, very, very long time...and I've missed it! But, the summer was a one-of-a-kind summer! Our family drove all the way to Wisconsin (from Washington State!) and did tons of camping and sightseeing. We were home for about 2 weeks and then took off AGAIN--this time, to the beautiful state of Alaska via a cruise! We just got back a few days ago and we loved every single minute! So, now you know why I've been MIA.

I wanted to share a card I made using frantage. It's a product that's been out for a very long time but I just started using the stash I had a few months ago. The one I had was a mixture of pinks and gold. But I really wanted the teal frantage...and I think I love it even more than the pink! I'll be entering this card in the weekly Word Art Wednesday challenge. It's always an "anything goes" challenge and I try to play along when I can. The other challenge blog I'll be entering this card in is the A Blog Named Hero site that has us showing off our pattern paper.

Here's my card:
This Christmas set is from Hero Arts. I love it! The Christmas tree is nice and full of branches and that's one of the reasons the frantage works so well on this tree. It's a mixture of glitter and mica and thick embossing powder which gives the tree an amazing texture! The sentiment was gold heat embossed and then the gems were added to finish off the card. I knew I wanted pattern paper that would complement the tree's color so I used paper from the DCWV Luxury Stack. However, I didn't want to cover up the paper too much and I also didn't want the pattern paper to overwhelm the card so vellum was a great way to go for this card. I love it!

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great rest of the week!
