A one-layer card

Hi again!

I was able to sneak off into my room and play again this evening. I'm submitting this card in the lastest Lawnscaping challenge and also into the Clean and Simple 2 online card class gallery. The technique used on the card was my "homework" for today...sure beats the homework I was stuck with in school! :) It also happens to coincide with the challenge theme for the Hero Arts blog. Here's the inspiration photo for Lawnscaping's challenge and my card:
This card was fun! I first cut out a mask for the heart using post-it notes. Then, I stamped the sentiment in versamark ink and heat embossed it in white. (The "love" is from the XO stamp set from Hero Arts.) Then, I used my distress ink (barn door) to color in the heart. When you lift off the mask, it's like magic! :) I added a few more hearts that came from the XO stamp set again and I was done. Not bad for making my own mask for the first time...and really easy to mass produce if needed...

Thanks so much for stopping by!
