Father's Day card

Hi everyone!

Sorry for the long absence...but I'm finally here sharing a card I made for Father's Day. I used the sketch provided by the Freshly Made Sketches site. LOVED the sketch! And, I'm entering the card in the Word Art Wednesday site, too. Here's the card and the sketch below:

With the World Cup madness in high gear, I figured I'd make a card for my husband that showed what he loved most--soccer! Every 4 years, everything stops so that he can keep up with the matches. I sometimes watch a match with him--but not often! I followed the sketch pretty closely and really liked it. I used a dollar stamp set that I got from Michaels several years ago. I used the green, red, and white colors from the Italy and Mexico teams (some of my husband's favorite teams) to make the card extra special. I also added some glossy accents to the soccer balls so there's tons of texture on the card when you touch the soccer strip. Easy card to make but really cute! I can see myself using the sketch for different themes, too--especially a baby theme! Maybe have a cute little onesie strip...adorable!

Have a wonderful day celebrating the fathers in your life...I know I thank God for the blessing of having a wonderful father and of marrying a man who is also a great dad. Thanks for stopping by!
